CCFB Foundation Supports Leadership Training for two members

08/02/2023 @ 2:00 pm

The Cook County Farm Bureau Foundation, in July, acted to provide tuition support for two Young Leader members who have been selected as participants in the next class of the Illinois Agriculture Leadership Program.

Angelica Carmen, Lockport and Jessica Biernacki, Tinley Park will begin the 19-month leadership training program later on this summer. Both Carmen and Biernacki have been Cook County Farm Bureau members for many years and serve on the organization’s Action Teams to develop programming and activities beneficial to members.

The CCFB Board views the program as a premier leadership development program which provides training for outstanding leadership skills, world knowledge and understanding on a number of key agricultural and food related issues. The program consists of classes, workshops, group activities, and experiences in Washington DC and overseas.

The board goal through support is that participants enjoy the experiences, grow through participation, and seek to continue strengthening area agriculture and community locally as a result.
