Volunteer Appreciation Week NearsWe want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to our volunteers

04/08/2022 @ 12:20 pm

Cook County Farm Bureau® is a volunteer driven organization.  Members and volunteers are at the heart of the organization and at the heart of every decision made by the Board of Directors.  We want to take a moment to thank and honor the tremendous volunteers who serve our organization.

The many successes of the Cook County Farm Bureau, Foundation, and Political Action Committee is due to the commitment and energy of our volunteers!

Helen Dyer once said “Volunteerism is the voice of the people put into action.  These actions shape and mold the present into a future of which we can all be proud.”  This is so true at the Farm Bureau!  Without our volunteers our food pantry support efforts; agricultural literacy outreach; farmer and urban garden trainings; and legislative outreach would not be possible.

Established by President Richard Nixon in 1974, National Volunteer Appreciation Week celebrates the contributions, time, knowledge, and expertise of the myriads of individuals who give themselves to the advancement of the people and organizations.

We want to take a moment to say, “Thank you!” to our volunteers.  Please know that we could not accomplish the mission and goals of the Farm Bureau without your involvement!
