2022 Live Local: Food & Farmers Market Conference on March 23 & 24 at the Embassy Suites in East Peoria. The upcoming conference is hosted by the Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) and Illinois Farmers Market Association (IFMA). The two-day conference will bring local farmers, local organizations, and local businesses together to highlight Illinois’ food systems, from farms to consumers. The event is hosted through Live Local, Shop Local, an IFB program connecting local food and farm businesses with Illinois communities. IFB and ILFMA members may register now through March 9 for $45; non-members may register now through March 9 for $70. The Will–South Cook Soil and Water Conservation District is currently taking orders for the spring tree and fish sale. Plants, shrubs, and trees are available this spring in various starter sizes. Tree order pickup is on April 28-30, 8 am-12 pm.

Fish varieties include channel catfish, largemouth bass, triploid grass carp, rainbow trout, black crappie, bluegill, and minnows. Fish orders must be placed by Wednesday, April 5. All orders are prepaid only. Fish pickup is Saturday, April 30 from 8 am-12 pm.
