CCFB Foundation Drawdown for Ag Education held March 23
Great excitement and suspense surrounded the Cook County Farm Bureau Foundation Drawdown for Ag Education that was held the evening of March 23, 2021. The event was shown live using Zoom video conference technology. A drawdown is a reverse raffle in which the last ball remaining is the grand prize winner. 214 numbered balls were included in the drum tumbler and each ball was randomly removed and recorded during the evening by celebrity “puller,” Mr. Kevin Daugherty, Director of Illinois Center for Agricultural Engagement and Illinois Ag in the Classroom for the Illinois Farm Bureau, and a team of support volunteers and staff.

The Foundation Fundraising Committee would like to thank all that participated, sponsored, and were a part of the Cook County Farm Bureau Foundation’s Drawdown for Ag Education reverse raffle. Foundation President, Janet McCabe, expressed, “We have great appreciation to all involved for the great teamwork to bring the event to a successful conclusion that exceeded our fundraising goal of $10,000, expanded our message of the importance of food and farming knowledge in our area, and broadened our base of support of individuals in the Ag Literacy space.”
