South Suburban Cook County Master Gardener Training Program Fall 2020

If you enjoy gardening and would like to learn to share your gardening knowledge, the Illinois Extension Master Gardener Program may be for you. Master Gardeners (MG) are a vital link in getting horticulture information to the public through Illinois Extension offices.

 

Application for the South Suburban Cook County Master Gardener Program is open. Deadline is May 7.  

 

University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener training will take place this fall at rotating locations in the south and southwest suburbs of Cook County. The training begins on September 1, 2020 and runs for 11 consecutive Tuesdays from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

 

Extension Horticulture Educators will deliver a comprehensive training covering a breadth of home landscape and gardening topics. If accepted into the program, attendance at all 11 training sessions and completion of 60 volunteer hours is a requirement to become a certified Master Gardener.

CCFB Foundation Scholarship Available

The Cook County Farm Bureau® is home to a Master Gardener Extension Help Desk.

 

The CCFB Foundation’s Scholarship Program is offering financial assistance (scholarships) available to members who apply, are accepted, and complete the South Suburban Master Gardener Program, Fall 2020.
