Statement on COVID- 19

04/17/2020 @ 11:10 am

Dear Cook County Farm Bureau members and friends,

Cook County Farm Bureau® has been monitoring the developments related to COVID-19.  Farm Bureau staff continues working remotely to support our farmer and associate members through delivery of membership benefits and services, information and communication and issue and agricultural literacy management through technology.

Member services staff are available at 708-354-FARM (3276) from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. CST Monday through Friday.  You can also access information and services through our website www.cookcfb.org or facebook page.

We are in the process of transitioning our meetings and programming to online or electronic delivery.  We will continue to evaluate the most prudent delivery methods as the situation progresses. Please check our website or Facebook page for the latest information.

We're here to answer your questions. We know the struggles members face are real and certainly not trivial.

We are also working with the Illinois Farm Bureau® to communicate to state and federal officials:

  • The need for farmers to have access to capital.
  • Packing plants, milk processing facility and our nation’s ports need to be considered essential services and remain open.
  • The handling and supply system farmers count on to continue operations so that farmers can continue operating.

We wish all our members the very best of health now and always and thank you for your membership!

With kind thoughts…

Bob Rohrer, CAE, FBCM, Manager

Cook County Farm Bureau®
