AFBF selects Cook County Farm Bureau® as a "Cook Activity of Excellence" Winner of 2020
The American Farm Bureau Federation® (AFBF) has named the Cook County Farm Bureau’s "Food Pantry Challenge" a 2020 County Activity of Excellence (CAE)! As a CAE winner, Cook CFB will participate in the Farm Bureau CAE Showcase at the 2020 AFBF Annual Convention and Trade Show in Austin, Texas this month.
AFBF received over 100 entries across all membership categories, with, 24 activities selected for the Trade Show.
Sponsored by the Public Relations Team, the Food Pantry Challenge, asked urban families to support their local food pantry by voting for them on Facebook. Messages connected urban consumers to local farmers and the healthy and nutritious food they grow and raise.
Final results included $3,500 donated to 14 Cook County food pantries. The social media campaign featured over 7,000 votes, 400 comments, 1,500 shares, nearly 15,000 engagements and an organic reach of 118,000.
