  • Pumpkin Smash 2019 is Saturday, November 2nd from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. at Chicago High School for Ag Science, 3827 W 111th St, Chicago.  Illinois Extension welcomes you to compost your pumpkin: “Don’t Trash it, Smash it!” For additional location near you: www.scarce.org/pumpkins.

 

  • Shop small/local farm stands and businesses on November 30th. Small business Saturday is celebrated on the Saturday after Thanksgiving in the United States. This is a day that members are encouraged to patronize local farmstands and farm businesses to show support for these family-owned operations. What a great opportunity to purchase a Christmas tree, poinsettia or other flowers, or a holiday wreath.

 

  • Smits Farms - is having a Indoor Garage Sale on November 16th, it's a Huge multi family sale... over 40 families are going to be participating in this event! Doors open up at 9am and our event goes until 1pm. No admission charge. We will be making our amazing donuts for this event as well!
  • Christmas Trees and Christmas Wreaths will be for sale starting November 29th. Hours will be 9am-4pm Monday-Saturday. Opening weekend will be open 9am-5pm November 29/30. Closed Sundays.
