Nationally Recognized Cook County Farm Bureau Program Donates $3,500 to Local Food Pantries
This summer, Farm Bureau launched the “Food Pantry Challenge” to engage consumers and provide financial donations to local food pantries.
This first-year program which enabled Cook County Farm Bureau leaders to engage with over 118,000 urban consumers in conversations about the healthy and nutritious food local farmers grow while financially supporting 14 non-profit food pantries. The program was named a County Activity of Excellence (CAE) winner by the American Farm Bureau Federation®. Cook CFB will participate in the Farm Bureau CAE Showcase at the 2020 AFBF Annual Convention and Trade Show in Austin, Texas.
AFBF received over 100 entries across all membership categories.
