  • Our friends from Fulton County Farm Bureau are planning a Field Day at the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (Chicago) property in Fulton County on Wednesday, July 16th.  11:00am registration, 11:30am-12:30pm lunch and program, 12:30-2:00pm tour. The goal of the field day is to demonstrate how leaders in the wastewater treatment, agriculture, and scientific research communities are working individually and together to improve water quality. In addition, the benefits of new best management practices that farmers can implement on their farms will be shown.  Call Fulton County Farm Bureau at 309-547-3011 to attend.
  • The University of Illinois Extension is seeking volunteers to assist as judges for 4-H projects and to help with activities for the annual Cook County 4-H Fair scheduled July 20, 2019 at SeatGeek Stadium (formerly Toyota Park) in Bridgeview, Illinois.  No prior judging or subject matter experience is required, just seeking caring individuals who would like to make a difference in a child’s life.  Contact Chanita Anderson, Program Coordinator, by phone at 708-449-4320 or email at [email protected].
